We did it. We made it. One term down. 3 to go.

It has been an extraordinary term. Patrick would like to thank all of the Grade 2s and 3s for working so hard and being so cooperative.

Well done 2/3P!  Bring on Term 2!

THE PERFECT PUBLISH

On Friday, as a class we discussed what publishing work looks like. We wrote dot points into our own Writing exercise books then came together as a class and created a giant list of the things we have to do when we publish. Patrick decided to make a 'Publishing Contract' that we all signed. Because we signed the contract we HAVE to make sure to do the things that the contract talks about.

THE SUBTRACTION NUMBER LINE

This week we have been looking at strategies for subtraction. The one that we have been focussing on is subtraction using a number line. The Grade 3's have had some experience with a subtraction number line before and Patrick asked them to be 'young teachers' and help the Grade 2's learn how to do it.

Patrick was very proud of all of the Grade 3's for being so willing to help and the Grade 2's for working so hard. A very good team effort! Well Done 2/3P!

RECONCILIATION!

Last Thursday the some of the Grade 3's made their Reconciliation. It was a lovely mass and all of the Grade 3's acted very maturely and peacefully. Well done Grade 3's!

A special thanks to all of the Grade 2's and the Grade 3's who weren't involved, for helping out during the practises and being patient while we set everything up.

ABORIGINAL FOR A DAY

THAT'S GRAPHTASTIC!

For Maths we have been looking at graphs. We have been focussing on reading graphs and getting information. Patrick asked us to create our own graphs. First, we had to come up with a good question and at least 3 options to choose from. Then we went around and asked the entire class our question and tallied the results. Finally, we drew our graphs and got some interesting information from them. We are so good at graphing!
